The Northern California chapter is one of twenty regional chapters of the American Medical Writers Association. With almost 250 members in Northern California, Nevada, and Hawaii, it has been an active and thriving chapter for over twenty years. Thomas Lewis MD, of the UCSF School of Medicine and The Fromm Institute at USF, will be the Keynote Speaker; his topic will be The Neural Basis of Creativity.

At the Delancey Street Restaurant in San Francisco, Arushi Sinha, PhD, a Northern California Chapter member and a publisher in her own right, gave us great advice about publishing, from journal articles to magazines to books.
71st National Conference
Those of us who were fortunate enough to be able to attend the recent National Conference in Jacksonville, Florida gathered for a Chapter dinner at a great Vietnamese restaurant, Indochine, and shared the insights gained from the Keynote speech, Open Sessions, and Workshops.
